Ar. Dhanashri Mirajkar
About the session
Sustainable ancient water harvesting systems are present in many regions of India which could be an effective answer to water battles and could save millions of dollars which are being spent on modern water supply systems of the cities. This field trip exposes one of such ancient aqueduct systems Nahar-E-Ambari built 400 years ago in Aurangabad city and is still alive. System is highly sustainable and makes use of gravitational force only to bring water from source to destination.
