Today, more than ever, we need initiatives that help us foster our collective imagination to face the biggest challenge of our species: the present and future environmental crisis. The European Green Deal and the New European Bauhaus propose a new framework to promote efficient use of resources, restore biodiversity or reduce pollution but, above all, they emerge as a powerful idea of a European society committed to the ecological transition that we must undertake. In recent years, the consensus has grown in the discussion forums that any transformation of cities for a sustainable future can not only rely on technological and infrastructural transformations. It must to be indissolubly accompanied by a cultural change. Consequently, it is considered essential to count on cultural agents to promote the creation of new imaginaries for the future. As a contribution to the New European Bauhaus initiative, the city of Madrid presents Nave Futuro, the co-creation of a people-centered cultural experience to reach the objectives of the European Green Deal.
