The main focus of the session is to look at how vulnerable communities in the Philippines have been affected by and are adapting to climate change by highlighting their Community-based Disaster Risk Reduction and Management (CB-DRRM) initiatives — especially now with the added context of the COVID-19 pandemic. Their social networks and other forms of locally-led adaptive mechanisms are further supported by city- and national-level Resilient and Green Recovery (RGR) Plans to attain a more macrospective look at how we can plan for a better and greener future.
