This panel touches upon each of these reports in three specific ways. First, we take a regional approach to understanding the commonalities that ASEAN cities will face, whilst also providing local case study examples in each of our four reports. Second, each of these four reports have been a deep and intersectional collaboration between the academic, government, and private sectors to understand the nexus between the latest scientific research in four sectors and the applied key policy relevant messages for ASEAN. And third, in an effort to recruit new students to research policy-relevant science that directly affects the ASEAN region and its cities, we lean on NUS’ new Centre for Nature-based Climate Solutions to coordinate this interdisciplinary effort.
