There are significant opportunities for cities to work with researchers to get more ambitious emissions reduction projects off the ground.
The forum will seek to answer the following questions:
  • What city-specific data is needed to accelerate steep emissions reduction in councils?
  • How are local governments currently accessing and applying data/research to make decisions?
  • How important is peer-to-peer city learning, what opportunities does it provide for cities?
The Cities Power Partnership, which is Australia’s largest network of over 150 local governments working together towards a zero emissions economy, representing over 500 towns and cities, will host this roundtable in partnership with the University of Melbourne’s Melbourne Centre for Cities.
