Bio
the NRF South African Research Chair in Cities, Law and Environmental Sustainability (CLES), based in the Faculty of Law of the North-West University, South Africa. Her research of the past 18 years focuses on urban sustainability questions from through the lens of law with specific emphasis on issues of environmental rights, climate change and the role of cities in global environmental governance. She is the author, editor and co-editor of several scholarly articles and books and supervised more than 40 Masters and Doctoral students in the mentioned fields.
