Officer Climate Data at ICLEI World Secretariat


Laura Noriega is an environmental engineer with a Master degree in Technologies and Natural Resources Management engaged in supporting climate action at subnational level. Her work focuses on assuring that reliable climate data and knowledge are available to inform decision-makers about developments and processes that can support multi-level policy development. She deals with data completeness and quality checks to ensure robust reporting and quality data available for aggregation and analysis, including the validation of GHG inventories against the requirements of the Global Protocol for Community-Scale Greenhouse Gas Emission Inventories (GPC). She also supports local and regional governments with their climate mitigation and adaptation reporting on the CDP-ICLEI Unified Reporting System, including those committed to the Global Covenant of Mayors for Climate & Energy (GCoM), besides coordinating the development and execution of multi-level governance dialogues around integrated MRV systems on the framework of GHG emissions reduction strategies and supporting the 100% Renewable Energy Roadmap planning at a city scale
