Isabel Wetzel

Bio

Isabel Wetzel works at UN-Habitat, where she has co-led the establishment of UNITAC Hamburg. She has 8+ years of experience in sustainable urban development, with expertise in urban resilience, resource efficiency, blue economy, urban innovation, digital technology, and capacity building. She has negotiated and implemented a range of development projects with diverse stakeholders and donors in Kenya, Rwanda, Uganda, Seychelles, and China. Prior to the UN, she worked in quality assurance at the World Bank. Isabel holds an MSc in Urbanization and Development from the London School of Economics. She is based in Nairobi, Kenya.
