Professor Priti Pohekar is working as Head of the Department of Public Administration at Rajarshi Shahu Mahavidyalaya (Autonomous), Latur since November, 2019. She has worked in the same institute as Associate Professor (2014-2019), Assistant Professor (2007-2014). Previously she was working as Lecturer at Government College of Arts & Science, Aurangabad. (2001-2007) She is a reputed academician. She is an innovative researcher with international repute. She is a visionary teacher and research mentor. She has completed her education throughout merit. She has worked as Sub-editor in newspaper as well as Casual Announcer and News Reader and Translator at AIR, Aurangabad. She is recipient of Study Grant Award by ICSSR Regional Branch, Mumbai. Her Ph.D. thesis is aquisited by NASSDOC, ICSSR, New Delhi. She has received Publication grant from ICSSR, New Delhi to publish the thesis. She has received Best Paper Presentation Award 1 in international conference and 1 in national conference, 1 Best Paper Publication prize at national level. She has mentored 6 M. Phil, 7 Ph.D. scholars. She has worked on 5 research projects. She has presented research paper in 10 international and 14 national level conferences/seminars. She has delegated research paper as Resource Person in 11 national level, 14 state and divisional level conference/seminar/workshop. She has delivered 17 guest lectures. Her 9 reference books in Marathi and 1 in English have been published. She has worked as an Editor for the study books published by the Swami Ramanand Teerth Marathawada University, Nanded and Yashwantrao Chavhan Maharashtra Open University, Nasik. Her 16 articles are published in international, national reputed journals. She has contributed 11 chapters in the books. She has published her nearly 50 articles/Stories in Newspaper, Magazines, Diwali Special Issues. She is always creative and innovative and initiated Gramsabha Awareness Campaign. Under the campaign, every year a village is adopted, awareness is created among the villagers for Gamsabha through Gram Dindi, survey, and door to door campaigning and counseling by the students. She has successfully arranged in 4 villages and made the villagers to hold the Gramsabha along with Mahila Gramsabha. She involves in designing curriculum as the Chairman of Board of Studies, Member of Academic Council, Board of Studies in Music, Geography, Sociology, NCC Studies, Journalism and Mass Communication of RSM, Latur. She has worked as Member of Board of Studies and 32(5) Committee of SRTMU, Nanded. She has a solid understanding for technology and its proper use for students. Her YouTube videos are much popular available on Making Wise Word channel which successfully concentrated the minds of the students and continuously remained them engaged during lockdown period also. She is a born anchor and anchoring is her passion. She has anchored various local/national/international level government/private programs, and documentaries.
She has translated 2 courses of NPTEL courses from English to Marathi. She has worked as Programme Officer, National Service Scheme. (2008-2015) She has worked as Co-coordinator for CoC on Disaster Administration sanctioned by UGC, New Delhi (2013-2018) She delivers lecture on Soft Skills, Stress Management, and Capacity Building.
She is closely associated with various social activities. She is Devgiri Prant Mahila Pramukh (Women Representative) of NGO SAKSHAM, devoted in disability sector.
