Bio

Diana led the Build Change country program in Colombia until November 2020, where she was responsible for coordinating projects in this country and representing Build Change to support the organization's position as a trusted advisor and key stakeholder in resilience for housing and schools for the national government, local governments, and a diverse range of private partners. She is an architect and urban/regional planner with more than 15 years of experience in land management, planning and development of social housing. She previously served as the director of a national land use plan program at the Department of National Planning (DNP-Colombia), providing leadership for World Bank-funded programs throughout the country. During the period 2008-2011 she worked in the Municipality of Cali, first in the Secretariat of Social Housing, then in the Secretariat of Infrastructure, and culminated that period as director of the Department of Urban Planning. Ms. Muñoz’s primary experience is leading multidisciplinary and multilevel dialogues with governments on territorial development issues, including regional, urban and rural management, as well as the participation of the private sector in the provision of municipal services. She has a master's degree in Urban Management and Development from Erasmus University in the Netherlands, a master's degree in Urban and Regional Planning, a postgraduate degree in Culture of Peace and International Humanitarian Law, and a bachelor's degree in Architecture
