Bio
Carla has been part of the Diplomatic Corps of Brazil since 1194.
Currently serving in the Ministry for Regional Development, she has been part of the team of 5 Executive Branches of the federal government. While serving at the Presidency (2013-2015), Ministry of Education (2015-2019), Ministry of Citizenship (2019-2020) and Ministry for Regional Development, the Ambassador was international in incorporating international best practices in public policies, as well as in bringing abroad Brazil’s reference programs like the « National Food School Program » (Pnae ) and « Path to School ».
CURRENT POSTING
Ambassador Carla’s current position involves incorporating ESG criteria to public works in the water and urban mobility sector in Brazil.
ACADEMIC ACHIEVEMENTS
§ The Ambassador holds a Master Degree on Latin American Studies, with focus in Economic Policoes from the Sorbonne Nouvelle (Paris 3 – Iheal).
§ Carla has also recently taken part in Executive Graduate Courses in Kennedy School of Government.
§ Carla speaks fluently Portuguese, English, Spanish, French. She also concluded the basic level of Japanese.
